Tasks: audio and video
So far we have focused on downloading written material, like books, articles, magazines, and so on. Now, let us concentrate on different types of resources that will promote motivation and prompt the acquisition of a foreign language taking advantage of the multimedial experience.
Today, your task is the following:
1)
Find as many sources as possible to access audio files.
Find as many sources as possible to access video files.
Find as many sources as possible to acces different multimedia resources (presentations, flash animations, different ones)
2)
Choose the 4-5 sources that you liked best and solve the following problem:
How can I download audio files or videos from them?
3)
Write a new entry on your blog presenting the sources of your choice and explaining as clearly as possible how to download videos or audio files and, of course, including some information about what kind of videos or audio files will I find there. There might be more than one possiblity to download material; try to focus on solutions that do not require downloading programs or following too many or too complex steps)
Bonus!
Challenge:
How can you edit the different files?
try to find short solutions to...
- transform a word document into a pdf file
- cut a pdf file
- cut an audio file
- cut a video
- add captions to a video/movie
Once you're done with your entry, remember to post the URL here to share your work with the class.
