  3. We can use Polls to give feedback, to know what they want to learn or their personal opinions about an specific topic.

http://www.polls4u.com/home it's a quite goos web page to create your own poll. You have to create an account and then you can creat your poll. We can use them for example, after a test to know how difficult was for students or before a class, to know what they want to see or learn in the next class.

    one of them is :

Toluna – Toluna is an online polling software that also lets you add videos and pictures to poll answers to make them look more descriptive. The service is integrated with Plaxo so it should be easy to invite existing contacts to take your poll. (http://uk.toluna.com/)

  5. We think that we can use polls in speaking activities, for example: A class debate, because using polls the students can research and supporting ideas and generate an interactive discussion.

For example: If the theme to discuss is about the abortion, both teams can develop certain polls to support them ideas giving the social opinion about the theme.

http://pollcode.com/ If you want to create some polls, use this page to get online results.

For example http://pollcode.com/pollcode.cgi, you can answer here the question without login and get the results instantly.

    Results: http://poll.pollcode.com/etethc_result_duplicate

So in this case, this page is a very good and easy to use because you don't have to login. And also because you can give your opinion in a privately way.

    2. in this case the best examples are:
using polls to check meaningful learning, what I learn and what I don't learn or need more training or if I like or don't something about the teacher's class.

    3. check your progress using polls.

If you are a teacher and the "check yourself" page of the book is not the thing you want to use to check students progress use polls.
I decided to create a poll in which you can answer what do you know about e.g: simple present tense.

  8. we can use a poll asking students if they heard about a relevant news event, to what degree they agreed with the point of view which someone presented, or if they completed the readings for a current topic.

    important things to consider:
    Things to Consider

    * Voting is anonymous.
    * Participants may only vote once per poll.
    * A poll can only consist of one question. If you want to ask a set of related questions it might be better to use the Quiz & Survey tool.
    * You can allow spoilt votes by selecting zero as the minimum number of answer options
